Description

A cooperative learning environment can facilitate student’s learning and help build rapports between peers as well as between the teacher and students. Additionally, students can learn more effectively once they enjoy the learning process. Interactive Activities and Cooperative Learning Strategies are among the useful tools for teachers to achieve these goals. This workshop will offer an overview of cooperative learning concept, its strategies and fundamental principles, then introduce a number of cooperative learning and interactive activities that can be used in EFL (English as a Foreign Language) classes. The presentation will be highly hands-on. Participants will have a chance to experience first-hand these activities through the demonstration session and to discuss how to integrate them in their EFL classroom to best facilitate students’ ages and proficiency levels. This workshop will tend to interest of teachers who are keen on vitalizing their classroom, promoting active learning and develop teamwork spirit among their students.
